Who Is White Supremacy Advocate And SBOE Candidate Julie Pickren?

Julie Pickren participated in the January 6th Insurrection, is a strong advocate for white supremacy, and is running on complete fabrications about her opponent.

Dan Patrick, Lois Kolkhorst, and Briscoe Cain are some of the vilest and most corrupt politicians Texas has ever known. Most Texans believe we’ve seen it all, and it can’t get any worse than those people. If you think that, you would be wrong. It’s time for you to meet Julie Pickren, candidate for Texas State Board of Education (SBOE) District 7.

A quick scan of her social media activity will show that she lacks the character and integrity to be trusted with the minds of future generations, and her actions on social media prove she lacks the morals of what society expects from our chosen representation.

More alarming, the district that she’s running for is a majority-minority district that is 55% non-Anglo.

After you learn more about Julie Pickren, you’ll ask yourself, “Why is she running? And what is her agenda?”

January 6, 2021.

Julie Pickren was at the insurrection 18 months ago. First, she bragged about it on Facebook, then later blamed Antifa.

While that alone should be a disqualifier from ever holding public office again, she is running for the State Board of Education only because she was ousted as Alvin ISD Trustee because of her un-American activities. Julie Pickren hates America so much that she took the “Take Texas Back” pledge. You can read the full pledge here, but it’s a pledge to work on secession if elected to office. As we all know by now, the TEXIT movement is a Neo-Confederacy movement led by QAnon Conspiracists. Not only is TEXIT un-America, but also seditious, and some would consider it treasonous.

While Julie Pickren’s anti-American positions are abhorrent, they pale in comparison to her views on race.

Take this social media post from August 3, 2021, for example. She says, “this is what Critical Race Theory looks like” and “Equal Outcome = Socialism.”

Take a closer look at what the snippet she posted said. Leander ISD wanted to “eradicate racism, intolerance, bigotry, and prejudice; and to promote an environment that welcomes and respects each community member.

Julie Pickren’s stance is that eradicating racism is socialism, CRT, and bad. Julie Pickren does not want racism eradicated.

This is what she has chosen to run for the SBOE on.

Pro-racism, pro-intolerance, pro-bigotry, pro-prejudice, anti-inclusion, and anti-respect. According to Pickren’s own website, this is the number one issue she’s running on.

Again, the district that she’s running for is 55% non-Anglo.

Julie Pickren’s stance on so-called “CRT” isn’t the only way she’s used her social media to promote white supremacist ideas.

Earlier this year, in June, she posted a video of rowdy high school kids who happened to be Black with the caption, “Discipline in schools must be restored.”

Nowhere on either her personal Facebook account or her campaign page on Facebook did she post other videos or incidents of out-of-control children.

Then, in October of last year, she posted a meme implying that Biden works with the Taliban and called a Black woman a terrorist.

Not once on any of her social media platforms that she refers to any other color or ethnicity as “terrorist.”

And only last week, she posted the presentation of a Christofascist conference she attended. The only child pictured in the presentation was a young Black girl with bullet points that include “improved respect for authorities” and “decreased alcohol and drug consumption.”

These three posts are only a small sample of the white supremacist ideas she regularly promotes.

The ideas that Black teenagers would be undisciplined, Black women are terrorists, or Black children don’t respect authority have roots in Ku Klux Klan ideology and have been a cornerstone of Conservative politics for more than a century.

That’s why in a district that is 55% non-Anglo, Julie Pickren is wrong and dangerous for the children who live there.

Julie Pickren has also expressed the want to further inflict environmental racism on District 7 residents, killing the most vulnerable of their population.

Pro-oil for Jefferson County is pro-cancer and pro-death.

The Black community in Jefferson County lives in a cancer cluster caused by long-time poisoning and environmental racism at the hands of big oil. Black residents in Jefferson County were 15% more likely to develop cancer than other Texans and were 40% more likely to die from the disease.

Julie Pickren isn’t running for a district that doesn’t have communities that have been long impacted by environmental racism. She’s running for a district that houses one of the worst cancer clusters in America. Yet, she’s advocating increasing oil output and cancer-related deaths in the families of the children she’s running to represent.

As we all know, cancer is indiscriminate. But unfortunately, in Jefferson County, children regularly get sick and die of cancer.

The SBOE has nothing to do with environmental racism and the regular poisoning of residents in each district.

However, it should speak volumes about Julie Pickren’s character in wanting to be the chosen representative of that district.

Julie Pickren’s positions are so racist and so extreme that she even got to be a speaker at CPAC.

At that appearance, she told the audience, “no one in this room is a domestic terrorist.” This was the same CPAC proudly announcing, “We are all domestic terrorists.”

(It’s been fact-checked, look it up.)

So we’re all on the same page, the FBI’s definition of Domestic Terrorism is: Violent, criminal acts committed by individuals and/or groups to further ideological goals stemming from domestic influences, such as those of a political, religious, social, racial, or environmental nature.

The best example would be, Julie Pickren’s participation in the January 6 Insurrection. As it turns out, Pickren appears to be a habitual liar. Her denial of being a domestic terrorist is only one incident.

Julie Pickren has fabricated heinous lies about her opponent and is making robocalls to spread them.

The Democrat running for SBOE07 is Dr. Dan Hochman, a science teacher, dad, and pillar of his community.

Julie Pickren doesn’t have any good qualities to run on, so she simply made up a lie that Dr. Hochman was sexualizing children and turned it into a campaign slogan. Dr. Hochman has not been in any legal trouble or has had any rumors regarding this go around about him.

Julie Pickren pulled this lie out of thin air, demonstrating her complete lack of integrity. But unfortunately, making up lies is popular for Republicans this year, as we’ve seen Greg Abbott repeatedly do so in his campaign.

There are many other lies Pickren has told as well.

Like last month, on a far-right media site, she said in an interview that “the radical left is pushing teachers away” when talking about teacher shortages. It’s unclear why she would say something so baseless, but luckily for the rest of us, there’s enough data that tells us why we have teacher shortages in Texas.

Texas has struggled with teacher shortages since the 1990s, but modern teacher shortages result from low pay and lack of support, both of which stem from Conservative policy.

If Julie Pickren is elected, the education system in Texas will become substantially worse, and children in SBOE07 will suffer significantly from it. So in November, we have to make sure she does not win.
