Burnet County Democrats Host Author and Journalist Rob Boston

Senior Adviser at Americans United for Separation of Church and State

The Burnet County Democratic Club will host Rob Boston, senior adviser at Americans United for Separation of Church and State, via Zoom at its August membership meeting. On Tuesday, August 17, at 11:30 am, participants can attend remotely or in person at the Burnet County Democratic Club, upstairs at the Uptown Theater, 218 Main St., Marble Falls, Texas.

“Rob Boston has appeared on news networks CNN, NBC, MSNBC and Fox News to protect and preserve our Constitution. His presentation will be informative and educational,” said Mary Thompson, BCDC vice president.

Boston is a trained journalist and author of four books relevant to the separation of church and state in America. He has worked with Americans United since 1987 and is editor of Church & State, AU’s monthly membership magazine.

Boston has also published articles in numerous magazines, including Free Inquiry, The Humanist, Public Eye and Liberty. He is often quoted in national media and delivers public lectures on church-state topics. Boston lives with his wife and two children in Maryland.

BCDC President BJ Henry added “Given the rising numbers of COVID-19 cases in our area all in-person attendees will be required to wear a mask.  We want this to be a safe meeting for all persons who are fully vaccinated.”

Newsletter subscribers will receive detailed information about how to attend the meeting remotely or in person. Anyone who supports Democratic ideals or wants to hear about them is welcome to attend; request information by emailing info@bcdctx.org.

Follow BCDCTX on Twitter and Instagram and visit bcdctx.org for membership information. The BCDCTX general membership meets monthly via a hybrid format.
