Burnet County Democratic Club Hosts Weekly Meet & Greet with Burnet County Democratic Party Chair
The Burnet County Democratic Party Chair is on a mission to meet every one of the 5,000 Democratic voters in the county this year. Toward that end, the Burnet County Democratic Club (BCDCTX) will host a weekly meet-and-greet with Mel Hazlewood every Wednesday starting March 31 from 10 a.m. to noon at the BCDCTX office, 218 Main St., Marble Falls, upstairs at the Uptown Theater.
Hazlewood became chair in August 2020 when Marti Pogue resigned. He worked as a lawyer in and around the Texas legislature for over 20 years, then became an ordained elder in the United Methodist Church for 19 years. Now retired, he devotes his time to volunteer politics, playing the mandolin and living with his wife, Maurie, in Meadowlakes.
Anyone is welcome to discuss county, state and national issues with Hazlewood.
Follow BCDCTX on Facebook, Twitter and Instagram and visit bcdctx.org for more information. The BCDCTX general membership meets monthly via Zoom. The meetings are open to anyone who supports Democratic ideals.
