Austin, Texas — It was one week ago, indicted Texas Republican Attorney General Ken Paxton incited violence among right-wing terrorists gathered in Washington DC just before they stormed the Capitol building by force.

Paxton is now the only state attorney general unwilling to condemn the violence that resulted in the deaths of five people, one of those being a federal police officer at the US Capitol.

More from the Houston Chronicle:

Paxton is exactly opposite what our Democracy stands for. He should immediately vacant his office

“Though Paxton has been part of a long line of Texas Republicans who refused to accept the election results, he is the ONLY state attorney general to refuse to condemn the violence at the US Capitol on January 6.

“Everyone, apparently except Ken Paxton, recognizes these violent groups are disgusting. Texans are sick of this nonsense. We should all remember, indicted Ken Paxton is up for reelection in 2022.”
